The Winslow Boy

THE WINSLOW BOY
COLUMBIA TRISTAR
RELEASED 29 October 1999

Based on the real-life story of a young naval cadet accused of stealing, the boy’s family set out to prove his innocence. Signs of strain show within the family as the case drags on and national interest grows to a frenzy. Featuring a commanding Nigel Hawthorne as the father, this is an adaptation of Terence Rattigan’s play by American playwright David Mamet. Rebecca Pidgeon brings strength and determination to her role as Hawthorne’s daughter and Jeremy Northam shows guile as the ambitious lawyer. The Winslow Boy contains terrific acting, brilliant direction and sumptuous photography.
