A lot of stuff has been said about me, none of it’s true.

Old Man Marley (or Roberts Blossom to his family) has died of natural causes at the age of 87. He was a New Year baby (1st January 1924).

Apart from having a key role (which wasn’t originally in the screenplay) in Hollywood’s biggest comedy of the 90′s, ‘Home Alone’ (KEVIN!), Blossom’s long career saw him appear in ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’ as a farmer. It was a very brief appearance, but he did get to utter the cool line, ‘I saw Bigfoot once!’

Blossom retired from acting in the late 90′s to focus on his poetry work.

He was married twice, and is survived by daughter Debbie and son Michael.
