CHARLIES ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE

The first movie was basically a MTV music video strung out for two hours. But when your film makes over 200 million dollars worldwide, you’d be mad to mess with the formula for the sequel. So once again we get the three gorgeous angels (Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore & Lucy Liu) dressing up as nuns, strippers, and generally cavorting about for the camera. The plot is virtually non-existent (I am NOT kidding) but it revolves around ‘fallen’ angel Madison Lee (Demi Moore) attempting to steal two silver rings which give access to HALO, the government witness protection plan. At least, I think that’s the plot. It doesn’t matter! Just enjoy the ridiculous fight scenes (with customary wire-work), the soundtrack (there’s nearly always a hit single playing in the background) and the superb humour. Well, I lied about that last one. ‘CA2’ does have it’s humourous moments but not that many.
