Dominic Cooper talks The Devil’s Double
Dominic Cooper (right) with Latif Yahia at the UK premiere.
It was Film Chronicles’ pleasure last week to sit down with Dominic Cooper and talk about his new movie ‘The Devil’s Double. Cooper plays the role of Uday Hussein, son of Saddam Hussein, who was notorious for partying, rape, and murder. Cooper also plays the role of Latif Yahia, Uday’s body double, who despised his job but had no choice with his family at threat from Uday’s wanton violence.
We’ll have a full review up tomorrow, but before that, here’s the star of the film describing his experience.
How much time did you get to spend with the real-life Latif?
Were there any Uday stories that didn’t make it into the film that you would’ve liked to have seen in there?
What was it like going from ‘The Devil’s Double’ to performing in ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’?
What does Latif think of the film?
On internet rumours that he’s being lined up to take over from Daniel Craig when he hangs up his ‘license to kill’ as James Bond?
THE DEVIL’S DOUBLE is released in the UK on Wednesday 10 August.
