Jumping on the ‘Bourne’ action spy thriller bandwagon, Jolie stars as CIA agent Evelyn Salt, who may or may not be a Russian double agent out to push United States into a nuclear war.

After two strong films and performances (‘A Mighty Heart’ and ‘Changeling’), I wish Jolie had passed on ‘Salt’. What begins with promise soon descends into an illogical, unrealistic and silly fantasy tale. It’s a ‘salty’ story for sure, and the action sequences involve Jolie landing fixed to the roofs of lorries travelling on the motorway! Physics, people!!

‘Salt’ is competent, but instantly forgettable. Striking black haircut though…
